How do email notifications work ?

Q:
What happens when there is a response to a topic? Does the originator get a notification email?

A:
If the originator clicked “Subscribe to topic” when creating the topic, they will be notified of subsequent changes to that topic. It’s pertinent to note at this point though, that the system will only send one notification until you log in and view the changed topic.

It’s very much a passive system that needs to be monitored. Notifications are sent on new registrations (if configured) and responses to subscribed topics. That way you only get notifications of topics you have chosen to get involved with.
If the forum had 500 users and you got a notification every time one of them posted, it would be very difficult to manage.

When editing a post you can attach a document by clicking the browse button below the "write message" text box.

After you have selected the document, click the "Add file" button and it will be attached to your post.

If you want to display an image in-line, simply attach it as if it were any other type of document, but make sure it's dimensions do not exceed 1024x1024.
